FABRICS & MATERIALS

Our cushion collections are created using natural fibres and sustainable materials; both ethically sourced and produced.

Linen is an especially integral part of the Paloma Living identity and is used in many of our core collections. Linen is a sustainable and renewable natural fibre made from an organic flax plant with a lower environmental impact than other materials. As a hypoallergenic material and a natural anti-bacterial fabric, our linen collection is friendly to the skin and offers a durable yet sustainable approach to timeless living.

Similar to linen, cotton is hypoallergenic and is known for its breathability. At Paloma Living, we use only 100% cotton in our throws – an approach that is unique to the industry and one we are proud of taking.

RECYCLE

In Australia many of our cushions are supplied with an eco-friendly and non allergenic cushion insert that is made entirely from recycled materials.

TherPET fibre used in these inserts is made from used plastic water bottles that are re-spun to create a replacement to polyester fibre. rPET production saves 70 water bottles from landfill for every kilo produced. rPET can be made from both post-industrial and post-consumer materials and takes fewer recourses and 59% less energy to produce. The quality is equal to a polyester fibre with added sustainability benefits.

Paloma Living is dedicated to managing our production levels in order to not overproduce and oversupply. Limiting over production will help to minimise
